dvx decision help. please!

hi!

iam new in this forum and have to decide to buy a dvx100b or the a or canon xh-a1.
i know its awfull for the experiend artist to discuss thuch thing, but i would be very thankfull.

i need a camera expecially in lowlight situation and postpro and composite afterwards in shake.

there is 25p on dvx and 25f on the canon. with the canon, i get a bigger screen to scale up details, but propably less lowlight performance, because of hd.

i want to shoot 16:9 and cant affort the 16:9 lens...

the b modell of the dvx has improfments in lowlight/noise. is it now as "good" (noise) as the sony pd170?

its not all about resolution, but what do you think. when will sd becomes like shooting 8mm today?

what are the characteristics of it-ccd compaired to ccd?

I have been very pleased with my DVX. High Def is probably the way to go now. But be warned, a friend of mine has had Canon's in the past and has been very displeased with product and service. I have no idea about Canon, But I love my DVX.

You say you cannot afford the anamorphic lense but are willing to spend over 5 grand on the Canon?

hallo kdawg, thanks for reply.

i have ment the canon xh-A1, wich cost about 3400 euro. the dvx costs about 200 euro less and the anamorphic lense about 900 euro in germany (pal).

a service technican told me first sony, then pana, then.......and canon/rest for the quality of the build of these cams. i dont know, maybe true. i find the dvx seems to be robust...
whats the reason, your friend has been disappointet from the canon. wich one?
still i have many questions left...
