DVX BOOTCAMP July / LA

I would love to hear any feed back on the Mac Software that was shown by the people that attended.

I am really looking forward to getting this software out to you all in the near future.

Thanks
Ben

Thank you Jarred, Barry, David, Evin, David, Jack and girls!

It was a pleasure meeting everyone at the DVX Boot-Camp. There was a ton of information to try and cram into my brain in one day. It was well worth the expense and time. There is no where else you can get this kind of specific education. Only the DVXUser Forum comes close!

I really appreciated the 'variety' of information that was presented. From technical menu options and their effects, to 'real world' applications, to Editing, Sound and Lighting. Special guest Jack Daniel Stanley is just a cool dude and it was great to hear from him about the movies that he's made. It was kind of like a 'live' directors commentary.

It was great to meet with some of the DVX community and experience the passion that everyone has for using the DVX for their projects.

I can't say what I liked the best. It was all good! I highly recommend the Boot-Camp.

Guys, Thanks for the swag.

Robert

The DVX Bootcamp was the bomb! Thnx for all the great info. and tips. They guys from Juniper were great! It was impressive and a privilege to see to much talent sharing their knowledge and experience with us.

Again, thnx!

I second RobertE's comments. Jared mentioned that the next Boot Camp will be in Chicago soon. If the date is right I will attend that one also. Chicago, you are in for a real treat! Thanks again to Jared, Barry, David, Evin, the Junipter, etc. for a truly informative and professional experience.

BTW - Is these a users' group in Chicago?

Unfortunately I doubt we'll ever do a full bootcamp in Jakarta. It's a very long way away and quite expensive to fly all the instructors there and put them up in hotels, etc.

However, something smaller may be happening on your side of the world before too long, stay tuned for updates!

There is indeed, they're active on this board too.

As for date, don't buy any plane tickets yet based on this but we're putting the logistics together for the last weekend in August, so HVX for August 25, DVX on August 26. Those dates are not locked in, it's just what we're trying to work towards.

Hey everyone, I’m a new member who just attended the inaugural dvxuser bootcamp in L.A. last Sunday. I had been lurking on the dvxuser site for a few weeks trying to figure out which camera to get. After diligent research I got the 100b – lighter weight, more filmlike than the other brands for the money. Then my wife and I got ourselves to the bootcamp and knew instantly we had entered the right digital video camera world. These trailblazing gurus were candid, informative, and humble -- working professionals taking the time to help fellow dvxusers get the most out of their cameras in an informal setting such as scene file settings, different ways to hold the camera steady without a tripod, and how to conceal a mic on someone’s chest using Dr. Scholl’s. Thanks also to Juniper’s ear-opening experience. And we thought the attendees added value to our learning with their insightful questions. What a great way to get a jump start on the dvx experience. Thanks everyone. Bootcamp rating: five bones!
