Is there an age limit, because I'm 14 and I'm getting my DVX soon. I mentioned it to my parents and I found out that for some reason they wanted to go to LA anyways...

I'd really like to go.

Can't imagine that Jarred would stop somebody for being 14.

When I was 14 (which was around 1970) a very nice man who ran a small camera store rented me a super 8 film camera and I didn't have a credit card for deposit or anything like that. The gentleman saw that I loved cameras and film making. So I hope that all that matters here is a sincere interest and the ability to pay.

It's not up to me, but I'm signed up and I would welcome you to be there.

we already have a 16 year old coming so 14 is no big deal.. we do say some bad words sometimes though :)

Jarred,

Does this mean we have a location set? Last thing we heard was that it "Probably" would be Abel Cine. Only two weeks now until that big day. Will we get a confirmation e-mail or something with firmed up time and place?

What do we know about "We are including an entire (optional) audio segment to the LA bootcamps this time via Juniper Audio."?

That 's sounds like... BONUS!

Out of curiosity, if you guys could pick that ONE burning thing you really want to know more about (thinking of the DVX BC here), what would it be? It'll be interesting to see the variety, I'd think.

I'd like to know any tips or tricks on how to get a quality image in camera or post. Especially, low light conditions.

Actually, I don't have just ONE. I have MANY. I think we have the basics down pretty well, and would like to know more about how to get the most out of a DVX100. I'm also interested in 'post' tricks (things that you can do with the camera and then take advantage of in 'post', i.e. slow motion).

Sound is also an issue. Different ways of configuring the camera for sound.

I'm assuming that this is a 'lab' bootcamp, meaning that we bring our camera and learn by doing?

you can bring your camera but its optional. we go through the menus so its great if you have a camera to follow but we project the menus onto a 10 foot screen so its not horrible if you dont bring it.

We have a buncha cameras setup so if you want to handson see what something is doing, you can come up and take control till you understand whats going on.

Jarred,

How are things shaping up for the DVX Bootcamp? I have not received any confirmation. Is it definitely a go?

Thanks.
