DVX and M2 and some Airplanes

I wanted to view your M2 clip, but your download site seemed insistent that I register, etc... finally gave up looking for a direct download link.

Do you have another location?

Thanks,

FilmMakerr, Heavy CC. I just shot everything plain and tryed this look, a little bit inspired by that G35 footage from Monterrey. Yeah, it was all handheld, since I didn't bring the Tripod along this time. Thanks for the comments.

Invision,

I couldn't know. I ordered the M2 in September, and it arrived approx. in december, but I know the waiting times have improved considerably since then.

And ProfD,

Sorry, but you seem to be doing something wrong. I was always able to download files from filefront without having an account. Please try again. In the meantime, do you have another hosting site to suggest? I'm really not used to anyone of them...

Thanks for your time guys!

Successful connection.... nice clip and soundtrack. I kept thinking there were some nice MB effects that would bring out the color a bit better in some of the scenes.

Cool...I'm a sucker for vintage planes.

Thanks for watching guys!

ProfD, I kind of grew tired of the Bullet, but I have to agree the CC scheme does not work so well once the blue and red planes come in...

The planes are really cool, we flew in all of them!

Nice...try shooting some other angles on the planes from different pov's. I got only one aspect of what I was viewing ... great that you included footage of the pilots in their other element...sitting around and shooting the bull.

well done
JD

that was great. The DVX is still alive and kicking in the right hands and probably will be for some time to come.

Hey guys, thanks again.

The Who,

I ordered it in september 2005 and received in december 2005, so as you can see, it took a loooong time. But today, the situation has improved some and I think they seem to be able to follow their 4-6 weeks deadline. You should ask someone that purchased it more recently, for a more useful answer.

Idv,

About Handholding, It's still my greatest concern. The unit is somewhat cumbersome to handhold. You can get by most shots cradling the camera/M2 combo, but I certainly wanted to use it on my shoulder, for greater stability, and confort. Since you have to turn OIS off, if you want to move with the camera, cradling is very hard. Since I use the LCD magnet trick, I Don't know if I can find a Shoulder support that can work. Besides, it would be a very front-heavy build.

I'm still experimenting with it, but I can definately say the looks overcome the shortcomings. I'm absolutely satisfied with my toy. And I surely hope the DVX to be live and kicking for a long time, because I don't have the money to change cameras just yet!

Cheers!
