DVX 30p with DVC30 in same timeline?

Hey guys,

Does anybody know off-hand if you can easily put 30p footage shot from the DVX100 into the same timeline as the panasonic DVC30 shot in 29.97 fps in it's movie-mode (which is recorded in frame mode)?

I was able to drop XL2 footage shot in 30p in the same timeline as the DVC30 so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Thanks!!!

What NLE are you using? Cause I KNOW avid will do it, and I think there is a way to get premiere to do it. FCP I dont know about.
 
haha, naturally it's final cut. Unfortunately I'm renting the camera this weekend for the shoot and don't have access at the moment to actually test it out.
 
Well I just happen to have both cameras and fcp 6, I'll test it for you in a bit and let you know.....


edit- tested with fcp 6 and fcp hd express 3.0, no problems..... but then not sure why there would be......

Hey great I really appreciate your help thanks so much. I'll post some footage next week and show how it comes out.
