You dont need DVCPRO50 to get DVCPRO50, You can shoot 1080i and down rez to DVCPRO50 and make the 1080i 4:2:0 into 480i 4:2:2 looks great!

Yes.
But again you need the HVX-200 (or other HD camera) for that.
It is imposible to get that straight out of a DVX-100 other than having it modified
with Andromeda.
And now you could even get 4:4:4 uncompressed video from a DVX-100!!!
