DVFilm Epic I - Realtime DSLR editing in Vegas 9 Pro

Just bought it, had a little trouble at first but was my own fault. It works great and most important, I'm having fun again when editing :)

I totally missed this! Very cool. I will try it out as soon as I get a break or have to cut something from my 7D. Loved Raylight for my HVX, and would love to use DVfilm again for my 7D.

But anyway, good luck with the product. I hope it offers a good solution to people.

Hey Eugenia, have you gotten a chance to try EPIC I out yet? If so, how are you working with it and how is it working for you?

I bought it last week. I can edit finally without crashes, but:

1) If I render a clip as Avi uncompressed the quality is very bad and sometimes i can see a red line.

2) I can not disable Epic using the button under Advanced Options of Epic 1.1

I'm using Win 7 64 bit and Vegas Pro 9d. I have disabled the UAC to be sure.

What to do to render normally as before installing Epic?

Thank you

Epic 1.1 is now officially released, with support for Vegas 9 both 32 and 64 bit versions.

The red border indicates the Real Time mode, it is an option. The new release has improvements to manual/automatic control of the Real Time/Original file mode switching, and handling of UAC, vs the Beta release. Purchasers can get the update at dvfilm.com/update

Please tell this works in 64bit! Please!!!

Epic I version 1.1 (released this week) now supports Vegas 9 32- and 64-bit versions. It also supports Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10. The link below has more info.

The next release (1.2) will be for Vegas 8 and earlier versions of Vegas plus older versions of Movie Studio; this one is almost in Beta.

I personally have not needed to convert any files from the native, it edits fine with just the Epic on even my little laptop. Remember that it only uses the actual file on the render.
