DVD to Quicktime

I shot on a video on my HVX200 and im on a pc...what progrma is the best from going to DVD to Quicktime or anyother format where i can upload to the web...but i would also like to reedit in my premiere..thanx, please any thing well help, in desperate need
 
I love Cinematize. It allows you to convert any DVD back to whatever flavor of quicktime or AVI that you want. Works really well, but produces big files...
 
when they turn out to be big files...how do you guys compress them, for the internet?
 
Kinda of a flabby question, no offense intended.

There are so many options, including Sorenson, mpeg4, flash mpeg1 that it's kina of hard to respond.
 
no offense taken...let me try again... i have a .avi file that is around 300mb, and would like to compress it 100mb so i can upload it to the internet. What program is best for compressing but stays true to the quality. thanx
