Is it possible to dub some stuff from DVCPro to miniDV using the cassette adapter (AJ-CS455P)? I have DVCPro VTRs at work and I need to put some stuff onto miniDV. So far I have not been able to do it. As soon as the recorder hits the in point either the image on my miniDV freezes (on assemble edit) or the tape just keeps on running (on insert edit). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what deck you have but in order to do this a few years ago on the AJ-D231H, we needed to change some obscure internal dip switches as well as some menu settings in order to record to minidv. What's more is we unsuccessfully tried to get this info for months, and only got the info when a panasonic rep overheard us complaining about the deck not working with FCP (v.1 at the time) as we were walking around the NAB (broadcasters convention for those not in the know
).
At any rate, I believe that the stock settings only allow playing of miniDV tapes with this adapter, not recording (I believe because it's a different codec).
