DVCPro HD mixed with HDV

I created a custom preset in Compressor 2 on the Mac that deinterlaces and converts HDV 1080i/60 to 720/24P DVCProHD.

Take forever. Looks pretty good.
 
so true... converting HDV footage is an overnight job.... seems like going back to SD also takes a while too.


what about that HDV intermediate codec? is that the same thing....?
 
I am intercutting an HVX with a sony HCR-a1 in wedding footage (The sony handling the wideshots). I export from compressor from 1080 to 720p 24, and although it does take overnight, it matches quite nicely. A bit of color correction required, obviously, its 2 totally different cameras, but it can be done.
