dvc pro PC codec issue

Shot some footage for a greenscreen that we need to use in a 3d app program, PC based. The PC side is saying 720dvcprohd50 is not a PC supported codec. Wondering what I can convert it to so they will not lose quality as it is a green screen plate.

Thanks!

There is no 720DVCPROHD50. You can have DVCPROHD (1080 or 720) or DVCPRO50 or DVCPRO or DV. Also 720 is an HD resolution not a DVCPRO50 resolution. DVCPRO50 is an SD resolution.

You can go uncompressed, lossless (using Lagarith or a similar codec), or possibly TIFF sequences.

Hiya, generally when it says it 720PDVCPro50 it means its 50hz 720 [commonly PAL] over 50 frames.

But then it could be a typing error on our friends part as you say as they are from Canada and I'd expect their equipment to be 60 not 50.

You'll need to output the files either using FCP on a mac and you could send it to an uncompressed quicktime at 720p or a tif sequence as our friend suggested.

If you are on a PC and you have Edius broadcast then you could output an uncompressed AVI for use in Aftereffects on a PC.

If you don't have any of these then you'll need the raylight plugin for premier and I think aftereffects but that will cost.

Thanks
