Dumb question re: Canon A1

Sorry for a dumb question but, can I play back tapes shot on a Sony HC3 on a Canon A1? Can I also import the footage from the tapes shot on a Sony HC3 by playing them through the Canon?

I assume the answer is yes, but the Sony had an in camera slo-mo feature that I'm worried won't carry over to playback on the Canon.

You should be able to, yes.

The slo-mo feature (such as it is) records as standard 60i HDV and should play back on the Canon.
