duel adapter issues...

so i plug in my duel adapter, it shows up in the menu bar, i insert a p2 card, it mounts, theeeennnn as i'm exporting from p2cms it ejects itself and then won't mount again till i do a restart, but only sometimes. i'm on a macbook pro 2.16 with 10.4.10.

any ideas?
 
Upgrade to Leopard - it will work much more smoothly. Also make sure you are running the latest version of P2CMS
 
yeah i have the most current issue of p2cms, and i did software update yesterday evening and the duel adapter icon doesn't even show up anymore. guess i'll upgrade to leopard over the weekend.
 
I'm having exactly the same issue on an MBP running 10.4.11. Updated to the new system about three weeks ago with no problem, and suddenly - poof! the Duel Adapter fails to mount. I'm running Quicktime 7.2, so there shouldn't be a problem there.

I'd thought of upgrading to Leopard, but your experience makes me hold off.

well it stopped working with 10.4.10, then i upgraded to .11 then to 10.5 and still no dice. my cam will still mount in firewire mode, so atleast i have that option. lately i've just been shooting everything to firestore just to bypass that issue. hopefully someone will chime in on a work around. i haven't talk to the other guy kyle that had the same issue in a couple of weeks but i know he has been shooting some stuff, just not sure if he's been duel adapting.
 
just got off the phone with duel, and they are going to replace my adapter. if you look in your system profiler(about this mac>"more info..") under pci cards and its not showing up(using 10.5) then there is something wrong with the adapter.
