Dubbing P2 to Tape

I am having some issues dubbing some P2 footage to tape

Footage was shot at 720/24PN

I set the camera to tape and turn it on. Press once to get it to go to VCR mode and hold down the button to go to PC/Dub mode.

All the numbers are in red for the P2 clips and I do not see how I start the dubbing. According to the book, these numbers need to be black right?

What am I missing to get this P2 footage to dub to tape.

The tape is brand new by the way and the tape recording format is is set to 24PA
 
Before entering MCR mode, set the RECORDING OPTIONS to match the material you already have recorded -- you can't play back / dub material that uses different framerates, resolutions etc.
 
Bring up the clip properties in MCR mode if you don't know what options were in effect when you recorded the material, then exit MCR mode and go back to recording mode, set the RECORDING OPTIONS to match the clip properties, then return to MCR mode and dub.
 
Like they said- the camera MUST be in the same recording mode the clip was recorded in. Bring up the icon of the clip and press playback. If it won't play back, you are in the wrong mode.
