Dual Adapter question

Hey guys. I'm trying to figure out how to make this duel adapter work.

Here are my computer specs:
macbook pro
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
mac OS X 10.5.6

I'm trying to download the drivers for p2 cards so that the duel adapter will be recognized on my desktop but is not letting me download the p2 drivers. It keeps saying, ""Install Failed! The following install step failed: run preflight script for P2(japanese letters). contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

any one have any ideas?

what site are you going to for the drivers? its pretty easy to accidentally download the wrong stuff.

also, there is a thread a few posts down the page with another possibility. something about macbooks with 4 gigs of ram causing a conflict...

Hi Wgzn,

4gig ram limit, is issue with The Pana P2 driver, not the Duel driver as far as I know.

leopard has the drivers included. no need to install drivers. i have heard that if you do install drivers it causes problems. better uninstall.

I'm getting mixed opinions on whether I should download the p2 drivers.

Does anyone use the duel adapter and have a similar system as mine?

I just went through this proccess last night, here's what I did:

1. For the P2 card, download the latest Mac P2 Drivers: http://panasonic.sixbullets.net/

2. Restart your computer after installation.

3. Follow the DuelAdapter Troubleshooting Guide for the Mac, it will walk you through step by step: http://www.duel-systemsadapters.com/support/downloads.cfm

4. For the DuelAdapter, it does not require any driver download if you have Leopard installed.

Follow these steps and you should be all set.

Good idea to "Repair Permissions" prior to any installs and immediately after installs, Security in Leopard can and does cause many unexpcted issues.
