Dsiplaying User Clip Names in FCP

Okay so here is the question if I go through my laptop with P2Viewer and log all my footage what is the best way to view the User CLip Names I set for clips in FCP? It is my understanding that the actual clip name cannot be changed only the user clip name. So if I change that how do I view that in my FCP bin?

The conversation I had with a FCP programmer back in March left me a bit disappointed. He told me that FCP disregards all the HVX metadata except the TC and clip specs (res, data rate). Currently the way FCP handles metadata differs from the way the HVX handles it. Until Apple and/or Panasonic addresses the issue we need to use 3rd party apps that add an extra step to the process.
I have not checked to see if 5.1.1 helps the process along any.

The user clip name field holds the "new name" of the clip.

Export to XML the marked clips you wish.

Right/control click on the value in the name line, and choose "user clip name" from the pop up list.

Export to XML.

Open the file and the names should be the ones you wish.
