Violent Hues

A lot of people keep on asking me what the meaning behind these "violent hues" are. The essence of the concept is a metaphor for a person's perspective. Shades of their personality, spirit, convictions and that unique energy that belongs to every individual.

So why the violent hues? Monica, Courtney and Debbie are all bonded by a tragic event that happened in their youth. So their friendship is sealed by loss.

There is an indigenous belief that when a traumatic event happens to a person, their "essence" that unique hue gets thrown out of life's orbit. That joyful flow of life is out of balance. This is a story of them fighting tooth and nail to get back into the rhythm of life. A spiritually brutal journey to finally be in sync.

But even within their struggles there are moments of engulfing colors breaking through the cracks. Euphoric silences. Blushes. Soulful defiance. Unrestricted freedom. Vibrant love.

We've all been there. Moments of loss. Not being ourselves. Hearing the echoes of life beckoning us to come back. Some drift and some come back. Just listen...Glance Back..Take a step...and run towards it!
