FEATURE: Driving Without Brakes

Hey guys. I recently finished writing my feature film entitled "Driving Without Brakes" and excited to get the ball rolling. Currently we are in the development stage and raising cash to shoot a promotional trailer and promo photography. I have attached the screenplay and would love some feedback, so if you have some time to kill feel free to read it.

Currently we are debating wither to shoot on the Panasonic AG-AF100 or Super 16mm. That of course depends on the budget.

Tagline: You can't outrun your past.

Synopsis: Driving without Brakes is the story of Monica, a gorgeous classical drag racer who races for money so she can afford to go to college and major in mechanical engineering. The summer is full of emotional and heart breaking events that challenge her dreams. Overwhelmed she steers towards a head on collision with her past.

The film has a unique texture and subculture. The film will be shot in San Antonio which has a unique Mexican-American rockabilly, greaser, Tex-Mex urban street scene which is a central part of the film. Another important factor in the film is the use of local music. So we will definitely have a soundtrack with the film.

Here is a teaser promo pic of Brandi Seguin as the lead character Monica.

Here is our indiegogo video pitch!

For this film the leg work is in the pre-production and distribution. Have no doubt we can handle production and post production.

Working on a massive investor package and well share with community once it's done.

Being the producer and screenwriter is bring its own challenges. Focus on the 3rd draft or investor package???

I just downloaded the screenplay. I will try to read it and give it an incisive review!
Just have to get a little time to do that. Either tonight or one of these upcoming days. But sounds very interesting.

races = cars = lots of sound = maybe ADR needed, lots of soundediting (car effects, sound of motor, sound of doors, sound of starting, sound of brakes, sound of wheels, sound of yelling people, sound of not yelling people)

Look forward to feedback outside my circle. Thanks.

Secured the domain name for the film. Looking for an escrow service in South Texas. If you can recommend one in Austin, Houston or Dallas, I would appreciate it.

Yeah I did, I actually filmed a ton of stuff and I went to all the "industry" mixers/parties, etc but it didn't really add up as far as networking goes. I'm sure big wigs were there but I just kept running into tourists on vacation.
