Hi,

I have a C100 Mark II and I am curious, does anyone know if the Dual Pixel Autofocus works smoothly combined with Sigma Art Primes or the new Tamron 35mm f1.8 VC & 45mm f1.8 VC?

Thx in advance for your help!

I have a C300 MK II and it work's perfectly with my Sigma 18-35 (after I updated the lens firmware). I works better than any of my other canon lenses.

thx, now THAT'S great news!
I was allways dubious if I could invest in modern AF lenses (like the 150-600 for wildlife) or should better stay with manuell old stuff.

btw, did face recognition work?

I have the Mark II and used a Sigma Art 35 on it last week for the first time. The Sigma takes longer to autofocus than the Canon L series glass - significantly longer in my opinion. As far as image quality it very favorably compares with the L series at much lower price point.

Not very many lenses support lenses support face detection af. The list is as follows:
EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS STM
EF-S 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM
EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM
EF-S 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 IS STM

I have a C100 mkI with DPAF. The Sigma 18-35mm was trouble until I updated the firmware. Now it's perfect. To update firmware, you'll need a Sigma USB dock.

Thank you very much for the infos.

I'm thinking about the Sigma Art 30mm Lens, but I haven't found anything about DPAF Performance on that lens. Anyone experience on that?

Face detection works with my Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 on my C300 Mark II, and regular auto-focus works well with that Sigma lens on my C100 Mark II. Auto-focus Face detection on the C100 Mark II only works on STM lenses.
