I haven't done these fests in a while so if anyone in the Bay Area needs a DP then I'm down to work on something. You can check out my reel in my sig.

Huy Vu, where have you been? I remember seeing lots of posts from you back in the day. Thought you always had some good stuff to say. Haven't seen you around in awhile.

Hey Ryan, at some point I realized I was spending too much time talking about making movies and not enough time actually making them. So I've been spending the past year working on a short film (with the help of Alan Chang, actually). It's been slow (and expensive!) but it's been very rewarding as well. I still pop in every now and then but I'm just not here as often as I would have liked. Right now there's a space of a few months before my next shoot for the film so I'd like to keep my skill sharp and work on someone else's project for a change.

I would definitely recommend Huy to anyone looking for someone to DP their project. I worked with him on my west fest entry and it was a pleasure having such a talented and knowledgable guy on set.

And Alan Chang, who commented above, is also an invaluable asset to have on set.

They are quite the duo ... makes me want to round them up and shoot something :)
