Downward spiraling shot.

Hey,
In the "Oceans 11" series, especially Oceans 13, they often have shots where the camera is pointing straight down, and spinning slowly, and I'm wondering if anyone knows either how the pros do it, or a good way to do it on a budget.

Probably some sort of cable mount or something clever. there are millions of ways to mount a camera some incredibly high-tech and some incredibly low tech. The most important thing is to select a shot that emphasizes your story not just copy a cool shot from another movie. Because chances are the more unusual the shot was the more obvious the copy will be, especially if it jumps out as stylistically different from everything else in the movie. This is a great book to have and learn more about how visual construction of a film can help you out:

Thanks.
I'm doing a computer hacking scene and I feel mixing up the cinematography will really make the scene seem much more suave and interesting, as watching someone sit at a computer is boring as hell haha.
