A downconverter button so that all those people who are used to shooting with cameras who's lens and chip creates a better picture than can be captured on their tape, DV and HD users know what I mean, can shoot a pristine beautiful picture that looks amazing on their monitor but record a lower quality, smaller color space, compressed image.
It is interesting hearing about the Digital outputs on cameras that bypass the tape mechanisms and produce far superior pictures.
Maybe even a DV option to put a DV deck on the back !!
