Don't Miss Boot Camp!!!

The Reverend
I was going to put this in the Boot Camp Section but I wanted all of you to hear this.
DO NOT, DO NOT, Miss Boot Camp. If you can't afford it, Yes you can. You can't afford to miss it. I have been thumping the idea ever science it started and was fortunate enough to attend the Las Vegas Boot Camp. I have been shooting for 6 six years and have "paying clients" Not so high paying as Evin, Barry, Jarred, and Rush. But they do pay me enough to live on. So I have production "Experience" but what you get out of this class is priceless. This class truly is for every type of shooter. Weather you are doing this as a hobby or have shot for 20+ years. These guys share so much knowledge with you that it is unreal. My head still hurts. We talked about allot of things I didn't know, and We talked about things that I did. But now I know why somethings work and how they work, Just not what they do to your image. This class has everything to offer and more. Don't miss it, beg, barrow money from your mom do what ever it takes, you will not be disappointed. I want to thank all of you guys for taking the time to put this class on. Even though we payed for it I still think we got way more then what we payed for. Evin, Barry, Jarred, Rush, and Noah, Thanks for putting on a class and look forward to working with you and taking classes in the future. If you guys ever find your self's in Utah let me know would be more then happy to buy you all a couple of rounds. Cheers.

This is a two shots that I took when Evin was setting up. First one is his and the second is Jarred's lovely girlfriend who was awesome and nice enough to be our model.

Don,

Very cool! I am signed up for the NYC session and can't wait. I have been writing down all my questions. They are going be sick of me by the time the day is over. :)

Any chance of having a boot camp in the Southeast? Atlanta? Jacksonville, Miami.. or espeically here in Orlando. Lots of stuff to do and Jarred has said he's never been to Orlando... Come on down and BEERS on me...

I'd pretty much be willing to go to any of those places as I know it would be a very worthwhile venture...

Anyone else second or third the southeast?

There's been some talk of Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Between all those we should be able to find a place to put one together... :)

I've just got to jump in and add another comment on how great Bootcamp was. Not only are you getting great information and ideas from the guys who really know what their talking about, you also get a chance to mingle with some really great people, DVXusers. I hadn't ever been to a DVXuser event, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Every person there was friendly, helpful, shared what they knew and there was a great sense of community. (Well, as long as we don't talk about the whole Apple vs PC thing that is :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)) Anyone who has a chance to go... jump on it!!

Heeeyyy... what about a nice DVD for all us that don't get to see the seminar? I'd buy one.

Or is it too much of a hands on experience to make any sense on a DVD?

Is it worth going to the boot camp if you don't have your hvx yet or is it going to be like explaining what a mozart piano concerto sounds like to a deaf guy? if I go, I'm going to study the stuff in these forums and tell everybody I left my camera home and then ramble on with . . . "Variable frame rates . . . oh yeah . . . um, they're really cool, um, I knew about them, um I wish I hadn't left my hvx at home, yeah that's right, good old hvxy, too bad he's home . . .

Quite a few people, 3 from Vegas I think, didn't have thier camera yet but still found the Bootcamp very helpful. And of course they bought thier HVXs the next day, Hehe.

So come on down.

ah poor pc guys.. just a few short years ago mac was only 20% of viewers.. now they are close to 50%.. and at the bootcamps, its more like 80%
