DOF Test...

Looks pretty sweet. Who needs a 35mm adapter anyway? Steady shots for being on the long end of the lens. What tripod head are you using?

but you will notice how beneficial an adapter can be when space becomes lmited ( smaller rooms where you dont have the benefit of being able to zoom 99.
 
Really nice video, Brian. Great natural light, super smooth/still shots, pleasant music, and a cute kid having fun. Sounds like a great Sunday evening.
 
I don't think I'll ever use a 35mm adapter. They soften the image too much. You can capture a nice shallow depth of field without it. You just have to manipluate your surroundings a bit. I soften up the image in post anyway.
 
I dunno, is it just my screen, or is there a MASSIVE amount of noise in some of the shots?

but, most of the video looks real good.
 
Xilix: There is a magic bullet preset that can do it automatically and I think it does great work. I use adobe products, and if you don't have MB, you can do some subtle blurs the effects menu.
 
Hey that was some good stuff! Great use of the camera! Nice to see what you can accomplish with just the camera itself. Real encouraging.
