does the zacuto Vfinders fit

I'm told (by Zacuto) that the finder holder has to be the (custom) stick on kind, due to the body being small.
I read on this forum the gorilla plate sticks out under the body slightly.

I want to get one myself but I was told by Zacuto that the Gorilla plate will not work with GH1.

I've purchase the vFinders about three months ago, I love it but after a while, the vFinder is a bit heavy to stay put on the plastic part of the screen (flip-out monitor), so it came off and crack the plastic screen. Yes, I even have those Zacuto red bands wrap around it.

I've looked everywhere for the replacement, no luck. I even emailed Zacuto about this. Nothing they can do.

Look like I have to replace the whole body, I wasn't happy at all.

So, my recommendation is not to get the vFinder intill they find a solution. Otherwise, you'll ended up like me.

Does the zacuto vfinders fit the GH1? are there any other brands?

I would abandon any thought about getting a zacuto... well made for other dlsrs but not the GH1. They offered to drop the price for me, but I didn't feel good about being an after thought for the GH1. I also didn't want to have to apply a stick on frame on my camera to make it usable. Zacuto needs to modify the zfinder for a GH1 model or not recommend it IMHO.

I bought a hoodman and could not be happier with it. It has a diopter which I needed and stays in place with the holding bands. I trimmed them to the point you can hardly see them. The hood does not move or slide around... plus it's a less expensive option. On a recent family vacation, it really was a lifesaver during mid day shooting with bright sunlight.

Bob do you have the 3x magnifier eyecup attachment as well, it's an optional extra for $39? Would help focusing with the 3x zoom.

Very interested in this loupe.

Their videos are a little brief.
Are the holding bands an extra? In the vids the salesman is mostly holding the loupe up to the LCD. I already have a similar loupe, but I'd be interested in a semi permanent solution for shooting - similar to the Zacuto, but something that fits.

Because the LCD screen moves and rotates you have access to the rear of the screen, so it's easy to fabricate a clip to hook around the back of the screen.

A simple piece of flat elastic like what is inside your underpants band will hold the loupe to to LCD screen by attaching to the top and bottom of the loupe and the sliding over the LCD screen. Simple.

Yes, I have the eyecup... you just remove the original and slip on the eyecup... it feels more comfortable to me.
