Hey all, I'm in the process of deciding which DSLR to get to complement my HPX170. Unfortunately, though I'd like to get the Canon 7D or 5DMII, my budget only allows between the Canon T2i or Panasonic GH1. I've read lots on comparing the cameras themselves, but haven't found much that compares their editing workflows. So I'm hoping the more experienced can help me out here.
1) Which camera's footage (T2i or GH1) do you think matches the HPX170's footage best?
2) Do either one of these cameras have an advantage or disadvantage in terms of editing workflow with footage from the HPX170?
I'll be editing with my Macbook Pro 2.33GHz with 2GB of RAM on Final Cut Pro 7.
3) Will my system be able to handle either the T2i's or GH1's footage natively? Or will I need to transcode the footage from the cameras to edit with? Is one or the other easier for my system to handle? Is one or the other faster in terms of editing workflow?
