Just wondering, and I don't know if it's been asked, and answered, sorry if it has.Is this camera JUST for recording to the Memory, or Hard Drive, or can it also output the 1080 Digital Signal to a HDTV Transmitter, for LIVE Broadcast? Thanks.
The live HD outputs on the HVX200 are...
- The Firewire output: DVCPRO-HD .. You can connect it to any other DVCPRO-HD firendly device, such as a DVCPRO-HD deck, which you can use for the conversion to another format.
- The analog Component output: An anlog HD signal. Can be connectd directly into a analog HD production system or monitors. Or you can run it through an external converter to convert it to HD-SDI for use in a boradcast system.
Both outputs will output the same resolution and framerate as the recording. So yes, when shooting in 1080 mode, you will get a 1080i output as both analog component and DVCPRO-HD over firewire.
thanks:dankk2: , mikkowilson, I didn't expect such a fast answer
I was also wondering if you have to be "recording" to get the output, or
can there be output while in "idle" mode, (standby) without hitting the record button?
