Does the 40GB firestore native HD compatible?

I heard with the new firmware upgrade you can
use the 40GB firestore instead of P2 and still get native HD support with or without pulldown. Is it true? What I just said, did it make sense to anyone?

You have to have the FS-100 for use with the HVX. Then, with the v3.0 firmware update it will strip out the redundant frames on the fly, leaving you only with the 'native' frames, increasing your record time as native mode does in camera.

To reiterate: the ONLY firestore that works with the HVX is the FS-100.

Other/smaller firestores may work with HDV, but not with the HVX200. ONLY the FS-100 supports the HVX200's high-def and DVCPRO50 modes.
