Does T4i Overheat?

I had pretty much decided on the GH2 because of its continous recording time but the lenses I need are crazy expensive.

So I'm back to the Canon T4i. Have they solved the overheating problem with it?

I would need it for film some pre-ceremony shots and capture the entire wedding ceremony as my second camera. The longest ceremony would be just under an hour. Can I just hit stop and then record right after?

I've never heard of an overheating problem with either the T3i or the T4i. I have had a T3i since the week they came out and it has never overheated one single time.

If you can get a T3i instead of the T4i you can put Magic Lantern on it and it will allow for continuous recording to different files. There is a gap for few seconds in between clips that can't be removed but it will still continue to record if you need that. Another advantage of the T3i over the T4i is that is has the 3x crop. This allows you to use a very fast vintage 85mm f/2 lens at an equivalent focal length of 408mm and still have the f/2 speed for lower light situations. The T3i is not the best for noise at iso's higher than about 800, but this allows for some pretty specacular shallow depth of field shots in lower light situatins for very little cost.

Anyway, it's another optios if you don't have the T4i already.

Cheers,
Pete
