Does t2i/550D suffer from overheat like 7D?

7D has dual processors, plus it's more environmentally sealed, so there should certainly be reasons for optimism that the t2i would be less likely to overheat.

When the processor design is lighter and everything is lighter, it surely will. The 1080/24p or 25p (when the 1080/60p?) revolution goes on here too.

EDIT -- I am wondering about aliasing instead. It should be there but I didn't see any sample of it yet. Any takers?

The question is what is the time of a typical take you shoot?

I shoot mostly performances, concerts, long interviews, lectures etc, so the 12 min limit alone is quite a show-stopper in such situation, but along with the possible overheat it's a complete no-go for me, unfortunately. I like the picture, but...

I've lost track of the number of 12hr shoots I've done. At least one or two every month
... and mostly with hotlights. Never had a prob with 7D.

Obviously t2i hasn't been put thru the trenches yet, still waiting for power cable (ACK E8)
to go on sale
