Does Camera Have To Be Shut Off To Rotate Cards?

If I'm shooting with three 4 Gb p2 cards, and want to download each as they become full, do I have to shut off the camera to take out one in order to download it or can I continuously shoot and simply rotate another one in while the cam rolls?

The reason I ask is a initial shooter with Panny indicated that's what he did, but the manual says differently.

I would appreciate a firm yes or no.

thanks

Is this directed at some one?

Firm answer: Yes.

You can absolutely remove a full card while the camera contiues to shoot on the 2nd card. The only situation where you must stop recording in order to switch cards, is if you need to switch before the card is full. You can assign a user buttong to switch the active card but in order for it to work, you have to stop recording. You never need to switch the power off to accomplish any of this.

Hope that helps,

I don't know why people are like that either, "do a search", "read the FAQ on so and so's website", just answer the darn question or give a link already!
