C100: Does anyone use their C100 regularly at the beach?

As the title states, my fishing team would like to get some better footage. I have a 550D, GoPro and C100. 550D is too much a pain for someone other than myself to pick up and film something, and the GoPro just looks like a GoPro.
My main cam is my C100 - but it makes me nervous to have it sitting at the beach for hours at a time with the salt in the air/corrosion and what not.
Anyone have any problems or uses with this camera around extended salt water?

I live next to the Broadwater on the Gold Coast, Australia, so it's my go-to "messing around" / testing area with my camera. I've owned my C100 (MK I) since the first week of release, in that time I've had:
- Slight corrosion of the XLR ports and surrounding screws,
- Slight corrosion on the screws that attach the external mic holder to the top handle,
- Slight corrosion of the mount where the top handle attaches to the body,
- Sand in the focus ring of my 24-105 (aargh!)
- Sand generally everywhere - as careful as I am it just tends to get everywhere, so a good clean down afterwards is required.
Except for the focus ring it all appears to be minor cosmetics and has not affected the operation of the camera. There has been no problem with the camera body and major parts, it seems to mostly be an issue with the metal screws and shoes.
Still, it's good fun shooting on the beach!

EOS Cinema cameras are not the ones to buy when shooting in spray or rainy conditions. The intake fans are situated in places that could easily suck some water in. I did a shoot in pounding rain in South Africa last Fall, I had my C100 but thankfully I also brought our 5D MKIII which does great in pouring rain. Personally, I don't think the EOS cameras would be my go to camera for shooting at the beach a lot. I would buy a used 5D MKIII just for that and for rain.

If I'm shooting in bad weather/locations, I'm reaching for my 7d. I had to put up with that little bastard overheating on me constantly, I'm sure as **** gonna use the crazy good sealing to my advantage when I can.
