GH2 Does anyone know of an external monitor that works with ETC function?

Been surfing for months about what monitor to buy for the gh2. from the smallhd dp4, dp6, the sony clm v55 and many others. ive only been able to test out the sony and it revealed that not only does ETC not connect to the monitor but it disables the function completely.

Wondering if this was the case with all of the monitors, or if anyone HAS A MONITOR THAT WORKS WITH ETC. i need that function !

I would think the camera deactivate ETC function when HDMI is connected, regardless of monitor brand. My Marshall, Lilliput and TVlogic monitor behave similarly.

That's correct. Plug in a monitor and you lose ETC mode, and also 720p mode.

Check on the GH2 hack project, it may change that.

thanks for the help. such a shame really. for wildlife i dont know what i'd do without it. hopefully we'll see it in the GH3

Speaking of things losing functionality when you plug in an HDMI connector..
It seems to be the case but just confirming that you do lose focus assist as well?
That's a major bummer if thats the case.
