i'm trying to find a p2 reader for my mac pro that's a single slot one and not ultra costly.

Thats just the Amtron reader... seems like the guy dosen't know himself...

Your gunna wait forever for a single slot that is not costly...been there done that...Apple updates killed my reader in my Macpro

I purchased several of those Amtron readers for our work PCs. Unfortunately, most of the PCI cards wouldn't physically fit into the PCs due to the bulky dual-IDE ribbons--they put pressure on the neighboring cards, which I couldn't move. And finding old-style PCI slots in newer PCs is becoming increasingly difficult.

But on the couple of PCs where the card WOULD fit, it works like a charm.

yeah i have a powermac and it's so old i think every port is blown but one usb. is the sonnet qio what you have in your picture tom?
