I have heard that the megapixel on a video camera doesnt matter because 1920x1080 only resolves at 2MP, anything higher is a waste. However, my HF S100 has a 6MP (effective) sensor as opposed to my old HV30 that had a 2MP sensor and I can definitely see a difference in quality. The video off my S100 is more crisp, colorful and detailed. Wouldnt that be because of the 4MP advantage? Sensor sizes are about the same but the S100 has a larger lens and the newer processor. Thoughts?
