we produced the last 3 years a feature documentary and i was the director of photograpy...

COMING AND GOING is the feature-length documentary debut of director Tianlin Xu (China) produced by Kim Münster (Redsheep Films, Germany).
Two orphaned teenage brothers leave their remote mountain village behind to seek their fortune in two separate major cities. Meanwhile, their young neighbors anxiously await the return of their father, a migrant worker who left the village a year ago. This is the story of four boys from the Chinese countryside, their hopes and dreams, and the challenges they face.

Looks beautiful!! Congratulations. When and where can we see it?

Can you also give us some technical details? Lenses used, colour correction process etc. The C300 keeps surprising me and it really is the perfect doco camera:)

Hi samphibbs and nice that you like it... i really loved my C300 in combination with the canon 24-70mm 2.8 lens... i shot 98 % of the documentary with this combination...
it worked very well... I only used the redrock rig also....
i decided to use this combination, because we shooted most of the time in the chinese mountains and we were only two people shooting... The director Tianlin who also did the sound and me...

So we have to choose easy and less wheight equipment but with good quality... i shooted everything in CLog without a external monitor...
here is a small picture of our team and with our equipment:

i personally thing, that the c300 was and is a very very good documentary camera and i could perfactly handle it without a assistent...
After the shooting, we were 3 times in china in two years, we made the colourcorrection with davinci... but we want to have a real look so we made only the basic correction because the material look great... no problem...

Hey, nice work. You have a great eye -- and especially for faces and the human condition. Really great stuff...

thanks a lot for the nice words... @puredrifting and @Michael Thames...
we start shooting the documentary probably 3 years ago, so to take the c300 was a good decision...
today i would take the C300 mark2...

greets from berlin
