I'm kinda curious about how many of us actually own the camera for video production.

For those of us with pre-orders, please wait to respond until the camera is in hand.

A better question is, does the end user have the 7D for professional video production (IE theatrical, broadcast, DVD) or hobby/youtube

I did several hours of timelapse intended for broadcast with the 7D last night/today, but doubt the few video shots I did will make the final cut
 
I have the camera, glidecam, CF card...but no adapter for my Nikon lenses - it was suppose to be here by the weekend. Such a beautiful weekend to use it too :(

WOW, the 7D got more owners much more quickly than the GH1, etc did, at least so far! Interesting how the hype and forums and footage and timing affects things, although there is no way to accurately measure all the factors.
 
For the POLL
I own a 7D, I have owned (and sold) a GH1. I will sell my 7D maybe sometime in the next few months. I will own a GH1 again (body only) prob next year when they are dirt cheap. I use cams mostly for private use, working with actors, narrative, shorts and some corporate.

The only reason the 7D got more owners quicker is because Panasonic dropped the ball bigtime when it came to GH1 distribution. Look at this thread (link) over 1800 frustrated posts about delayed availability.
 
I got a D90 for still photography...the video aspect is just a bonus. I guess I'm old school, I still shoot video with a video camera...call me crazy.
 
I own a 7D, and just finished my second job with it. Shot four days this week, and came to really enjoy the little camera.
 
There's no field for having a 7D on order in the poll. The poll doesn't work, it's asking do you own a 7D and the options are essentially
1. I own one
2. I own another DSLR
3. I had one, sold it

The most important choices here should be YES and NO and NO isn't really an option.
 
I agree. I own a D90 and indicated that in the poll but my new 7D should be here next week. Because I have already voted my D90 ownership, I won't be able to vote my new 7D.
 
I think if you already payed for the 7d, you could say that you own it.

But if you own the 7d and another DSLR, your not really changing the ratios much.
