Do You Like Food and/or Beer?

I shot a quick promo vid for my friend who is an executive chef.

He was hosting the Samuel Adams beer dinner in Pittsfield, MA.

Canon t2i with a 50mm 1.4, the kit lens and a Tokina 11-16.

I've seen & critiqued some food lighting in this forum, now my cards are on the table. Feedback is welcome.

I need a Zaza slider! :shocked::Drogar-Shock(DBG)::Drogar-Happy(DBG):

good video. Great production value. Im not sure where you aired this but it felt like something i would see on the travel channel or the like.

Also it made me really want a beer.

Nice work

That looked good. The chef needed a little more light during his interview, but the rest was nice. What'd you do for audio? You've got the voice for a good VO. It went well with the tone, and gotta love the Lily Allen.

^ Hey, regarding the interview, where more light? The key? When I shot it, everything seemed to be dead perfect on the monitor, but when I brought it back to edit, it is definitely dark.

At first I had a 650 as the key light, it was a bit harsh, so i switched in a 300w. I think that was a big mistake. One man band (except my wife asked the questions) so I can't beat myself up too much. :cheesy:

This never "aired" anywhere, just a DSLR test for me and a nice little video resume for my friend Lee. I just hope to use this as a demo for future work shooting in restaurants, etc.

Oh, audio: All it was was a Sennheiser Evolution lavalier going straight into the camera for the interview. Thanks for the feedback.

This was enjoyable to watch. Good pacing, interesting shots, well-chosen music.

Figs with cheese...never heard of it but it sounds tasty.
