Yes ...exactly.

In fact a lot of useful technical information about PAL is avialable only in local European languages. This is one of the bars on better understanding of this actually superior format.

So if one was to purchase a DVX they should go for the PAL because the resolution is higher and that nobody will notice when you show your film that its 1 fps faster than normal 35 mil

You should only buy a PAL DVX if you live in a PAL country.

What I think is a bummer on the pal dvx is not the missing 24p, itis the 30p. I would have loved to have a different speed that is noticable! 25p suits me fine, it is more straight forward on all nle's and hastle free and by the way . . . metric is the future (or the present) 'joking'
