T2i Do these shoulder clamp stabilizers work? (Proam, Ikan, etc) Any owner feedback?

Hi all,
I'm still looking for a way to be able to walk with the t2i and shoot something watchable... (without using a glidecam type of stabilizer because of the gliding effect which I don't want)
I saw these new shoulder clamp things:

they're good enough, but feel somewhat cheap (which they are: about $30 on ebay), and require you to control your breathing

there are bunch of other threads about them

i got one of these cause i've seen some recommendations. however, i've used it a little bit am left feeling eh about it.

and it seems these shoulder clamps are definitely not meant to be used to shoot while walking.
