GH4 Do the Sigma 18-35mm and Rokinon 85mm work well together?

Hello, all.

Quick question: Does anyone know if the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 lens is a good match to the Rokinon Cine DS 85mm T1.5 lens, as far as sharpness and color? Would they cut together nicely, or would the cut be jarring in terms of look and feel between the two?

I'm thinking of getting the Speedbooster Ultra for my GH4 and those two lenses, but want to make sure they match well before purchasing. This would be strictly for narrative film, so no auto focus is needed.

Thanks!

My experience with lens character matching is that if the focal ranges are VERY different - like these two lenses - then it makes much less difference because the framing will be so radically different. The overall color of a shot can appear to change just because what's IN the shot just changed so much - so our eyes accept the differences.
Now if you cut the Sigma with the Sam/Rok 35mm or 50mm then the differences might be noticeable.
If there even are any. My guess would be NO. The Sam/Rok "might" be a touch warmer looking than the Sigma, but it's going to be slight, and it's pretty easy to slightly cool off or warm up any image.

I happen to have both, and I really like both lenses for different reasons, but they don't actually match very well unless shooting in ideal conditions. The Rokinon is noticeably less contrast-y. When I use it, I use the rest of my Rokinon set. I use the Sigma when I don't want to have to mess with changing lenses.

That's not to say you can't match the two...you definitely can...it just requires the you evaluate each clip against each other, as the difference isn't consistent, it is highly dependent on lighting.
