Do I need to register the warranty?

My 7D arrived in the mail today! After looking through the box, I only found the warranty cards that were supposed to be presented at time of repairs, but nothing to register my camera?

Is the 7D automatically registered or something?

Yeah.... I was wondering the same thing. I have the warranty cards, but there's no address to mail them to.

What you can do is go to the canon website to register your camera serial number. It's also what you would need to do to get your $50 rebate on the 7D, too.
