Do I need neoscene?

I've just bought a T2i and I'm using CS4 on my PC. I've worked with the GH1 for the past several months and converted the files using neoscene... do I need to do this for the T2i footage?

It seems to run fine in CS4 without it, but I want to make sure I'm getting the best possible workflow...

I just tried some 1080 footage and its not running smoothly... I converted some scenes from the 5d and they worked nicely... can I expect the same from the t2i footage and neoscene? The reason I ask is that I was using the free trial and don't want to buy it just to find out I didn't need to.
