Do all 5D lenses fit 550D and 7D without adapter?

Can I interchange without adapter all 7D and 550D lenses with 5D?

I need a zoom with shallow dof for portrait filming.
What about the Canon 70-200mm Zoom?

All EF lenses and lenses designed for Canon full-frame DSLRs will fit the 5D, 7D, T2i, et al.

Lenses designed for crop-frame cameras, or specifically noted as EF-S mount lenses, will either NOT fit on the 5D, or will vignette considerably at most or all focal lengths.

The Canon 70-200 zoom is an awesome lens and will work on all of them.

All full frame lenses (canon EF lenses that you would use on the 5D) will work just fine on the cropped sensor cameras like the T2i and 7D. This does not work the other way around. The lenses that come with the t2i are EF-S mount. These lenses will not work with a full frame chip like the 5d, they wont even mount.

If you have a Ef lens from a 5D it will mount on your cropped sensor but due to the difference in sensor size it changes the length of the lens. Without going into too much detail about why you just need to multiply the focal length of the lens by 1.6 and that will be what your 7d will see it as.

Hence your 50mm lens is actually a 80mm lens (now great for portrait)
Then the 70-200 is a 112- 320mm

This is what I was going to say. I use my 50's for casual portraits and - dare I say - home videos, all the time because they yield a 80mm field of view. Although, I still want an 85mm for my set.

I'm not sure, but the 70-200 might be overkill for strictly portrait work. It's much more useful in, say, wildlife photography, but I could see its uses for a paparazzo/photojournalist.
