DNG issues - FS700 and BMC

Ross Gerbasi has posted a nice video tutorial showing how to take FS700 RAW material captured in CinemaDNG on the Odyssey7Q through Resolve. He also posted another video with a series of sample shots. Should really clarify the process for most people. It's actually quite straightforward.

I've just spent the last two days doing an initial grade from the underwater shoot we did on Wednesday, all 2k raw at 100 fps. First time I've used Resolve, however as you suggest, I simply followed the settings laid out in your workflow doco, from there it was a simple adjust to get the rushes to a decent base point for the edit, even with the huge colour balance disparity that shooting underwater throws in.

Thoroughly impressed, given the amount of brand new kit we were using and what we were taking on, the whole process has been surprisingly straight forward, and the results are great! I'll be doing a write up on Monday... For now, glass of red and a weekend off!
 
Now that there's a new adobe camera raw version out, are there any news regarding compatibility with the adobe suite or Lightroom yet. Or maybe any official word when or if this will come out?
 
There are new versions of PPro and SpeedGrade today, there's definitely some changes with RAW file handling. Of course if supplies of O7Qs had made their way outside the US i might be able to test...

We have shipped outside the US. We were just in conversation yesterday with a rental house in Paris that was sending their new 7Q out on a job.
 
Mitch, thanks for dropping in. Do you have a timeframe for the support of FS700 Q7 DNG support in Adobe Products or at least more information?
