DIY shoulder Mount (offset for zfinder)

Not having the $ right now for my CPM shouldermount and after looking thru countless DIY shouldermounts on the boards and even making another one, that boulder did (http://www.quantumpetshop.com/tutorials/cambrace.asp) I concluded that it wasnt for me...so i tweaked and did my own design.

It now also has a top handle :) and its being sprayed black today, and i will be putting a counter weight on the back. the tacky duct taped foam isnt there..was just using it to test. its much more finished now. i changed the front angle bar to a tee pvc. when its all sprayed and dry i'll take some pics with the camera mounted. its offset and elevated to be right at my eye with my zfinder jr. all done with 3/4 inch pvc pipe and fittings ..45,90 degree... 3/4 end caps and a piece of 90 degree electrical elbow and pvc cement.

Hope this helps someone.

if someone can help me to dent this fender washer (see link above) to be plced under the camera i would relly appreciate it. i tried..but cant.

I need to mount the counterweight better and spray it over...but the shoot is tomorrow so this will have to do. zfinder is offset right to my eye. pretty comfy. just need more cushion for the shoulder part cuz that counterweight makes it hurt aftr a while. luving the handle :)

I'd luv to put a quick release so i dont have to screw the camera on...anyone can give me a link on sumn cheap?

looks like a lot of work. Credit for that! But since the camera is sitting on a circular platform, doesn't it rock back and forth a bit?

more of a square platfrom. but nope... its rock solid! that threaded hexbolt running through the 3 peices of PVC holds everything tight. nothing moves at all. remember all the pieces are cemented/glued with pvc cement. holds it solid.
