DIY Hard stops for a follow focus

Anyone have a good idea for hard stops for a follow focus. I guess they pretty much are mini clamps. Where can I get get two?

Thanks,
Chris

I use the binder clips myself. It's crazy-fast to set your stop points; just squeeze it open while pressing against the marker rod, and release when you're in focus. Do the same for the other side.

I've used them on every commercial DSLR video shoot I've done - since we all use a-clamps, gaff tape, etc, I find on a standard rod setup w/ matte box they fit right in vs. looking cheesey.

I'm kind of at the point where I mix really pricey lighting and grip rigs with things like old bedsheets and homemade rigs. If something looks a little chopped together, I always point it out - "made that last night for this shoot - look, it's rebar and toilet paper and bubble gum" - (or whatever). My clients tend to be all "oooh, hollywood magic" when I do that.

Even agency guys get that nowadays - I get more "wow, what a great solution" vs. "can't you afford real gear". Show up with enough "real gear" and they get it I guess. All really comes donw to what's on the monitor. (So maybe don't use an old 13" tube TV for monitoring??)

i hear ya guys , i found some material lying in the inspection room and about to machine my own out of alumium. Ill post pics soon.

after taking a better look at my indisystem follow focus i wanted to apologize to you guys for saying that those clips were cheesy. Im going to staples to get some today. This idea is indeed brilliant. Like you guys said it is quick and easy to adjust and the force wont damage my while marking wheel at all. with the method i was going to use , the screw would have damaged the white marking wheel eavery use.

Again , i would like to apologize and will use this idea. Its honestly perfect!

Thanks, again guys
