Diy Generic Questions Dolly Adapter Image Stabilizer

I know you guys must be sick and tired about hearing about adapter questions... But I've read through many forums and I believe my question is unique from the rest...

I am undergoing production in a couple of weeks and a friend has notified me that his father owns an engineering firm. A firm capable of "building anything". (i.e. Dolly, Image Stabilizers, 35mm adapters...) So I began researching about DIY adapters and I came across the Redrock DIY guide:
http://www.redrockmicro.com/diy_guide.html
I have read from various sources differing opinions on this piece of hardware. Some say it's "cra*" due to the poor quality glass that comes with it and some say it's great... I was wondering if anyone has had any success with this diy adapter from redrock... and if it is comparable to the m2... In addition, I know this has been asked many time, it has been neglected equally for some reason... What type of glass should I use... Don't worry I ask this question with some understanding of what I want. Most likely Nikon budget is around 200-350...

Also if anyone has found any terrific /high quality diy schematics for a (spring suspension) image stabilizer or dolly as well, I would love some help.

Thanks in advanced!

Probably because you're posting in the wrong section and most of your questions have been answered before e.g "what lense do I get" and "what's a good dolly design." Check out the 35mm adapter subforum or the DIY forum.
