I recently score a sweet deal on on a GH1 ( http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?299350-Sweet-deal ) and now wondering if I need these CCTV lens. I have all the best ones you can think of for the gh2

pentex 6mm 1.2
tamron 4-12mm 1.2
25mm 1.7
35mm 1.4

but now I a great setup and not sure if I need these lens. what you think? sell them or keep em?

current setup:
GH2
GH1
4-14mm 1.4
14-140
20 1.7
vivitar 28-85mm 2.8-3.8

just want to get some ideas?

I have a CCTV lens, but I honesty don't ever use it.
They're fun when you're starting out, but once you get a decent range of primes, I've never had reason to put it on the camera.

Yeah, but you don't want to have one CCTV and one Lumix prime, for example. The look will not match well IMO, as the CCTV lenses are more for creative shots. Even in that link Fresno Bob shared, you can very quickly tell that the following interview was NOT shot with the same setup as the light streak in the opening. You'd be better off with 2 non-CCTV primes IMO.

But, to be fair, I don't have much experience with C-mount glass. Most of my work requires clean and clinical looking images so I have mostly avoided it. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in using one sometimes- I recently worked on a music video that would have been perfect for one of these.

Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if this gives the look you want. I would guess it would be something better suited for occasional use than regular work.

thanks for the reply's. I think ill keep em. they might be good for a low light fixed camera places somewhere. 1.2 is pretty fast and does do well in low light. I think i may have to experiment a little see what the two look like together.

Thanks for the input fellas!
