folks,

I am no owner of a C100/300 yet but I was curious if they can display anamorphic footage correctly? (squeezing the image)
Actually they call them cinema cameras... so it would be awkward if they couln't.

cheers,

Stef

I have not seen that option in the camera menu :)

On the C100 i don't think you can. You can display different aspect ratio markers on the LCD.

Very few cameras have a true anamorphic mode like the 4:3 Alexa.

You might read up on using 2X anamorphic lenses which were designed for a 4:3 size frame, with 16:9 size sensors.

All the best!

Dave,

thanks!
I was expecting this. I don't really get it why this option isn't implemented more often.
For some of us shooting a lot anamorphic it would make it a lot more easier... not carrying an external EVF with me all the time.
